Registration deadline: Wednesday, 9th October 2024.

Beach sprint regatta with start and finish on land, two parallel courses, length approximately 500 metres or long-distance regatta approximately 5000m with flying mass start on standing water with buoys to be circumnavigated (see annex 1: course plans, depending on the weather, triangular course or shore course).

Boat classes: CR1x and CR2x according to FISA standard

Categories: JM, JW, W, M, MW, MM - mixed boats (50:50 except Masters) in all age categories - the Masters 2x races will be calculated according to the "Welser System", Juniors according to § 18 RWB. The Masters 1x will be calculated according to the Concept II World Ranking
(female/male): A: 30 - 39, years B: 40-49 years, C: 50-59 years, D: 60-69 years, E: 70-79 years, F: over 80 years. The age groups will not be merged. If an age group does not materialise, it is possible to start in the next younger age group without any problems.

Entry fee: EUR 50 per person per day, regardless of the number of starts. The fee includes the hire of a boat berth. If there are more than 10 starters per club per day, the maximum amount per club is EUR 500 per day. The oars are not included in this price, but can be borrowed from the organiser for a fee of EUR 10 and a deposit of EUR 290, depending on availability.

Payment details: You can transfer your entry fee to the following bank account: RV Wiking Bregenz, Sparkasse Bregenz, IBAN AT90 2060 1001 0400 9485, BIC SPBRAT2BXXX. Alternatively, the entry fee can be paid in cash on the day of the regatta before the start.  Late payment leads to the exclusion from the respective race.

Information for travelling with a boat trailer: If you are travelling with your own boat and boat trailer, please let us know (in the comments field below) your car and trailer registration numbers in in the registration form’s comments field.

General information: We recommend the use of neoprene socks.

Information on catering:
Coffee, cake and yeast plaits are served throughout the day. For breakfast, we will also serve savoury cheese rolls.
Hot meals are available from 11:30 am:
Pasta with Bolognaise sauce (meat) or tomato sauce (vegetarian)
Burgers with meat or haloumi (grilled cheese) (vegetarian)

How to Find Us: Arrival By Car (and /or with Boat Trailer)

Our rowing club RV Wiking e.V. is located in Strandweg 40, 6900 Bregenz, Austria.
When arriving with by car and/or boat trailer, please have a look at the information and maps below:

  • For the base & coastal endurance regatta at RV Wiking (access via Meinradgasse), please park your car at the free parking lot in Meinradgasse 24, 6900 Bregenz, Austria. With a permit, you can drive your boat trailer along the sidewalk to RV Wiking’s rowing club.
  • The coastal beach sprint will take place at the public lido "Strandbad Bregenz" in Strandweg 1, 6900 Bregenz, Austria.
